Haunted hause of Piasau Camp

16042007009_copy_1

Short background of House No 75A, Piasau Camp

In
1970-90’s, many stories of haunting reported by the Auxiliary Police
veterans who experienced it during night shift to patrol the area of
Piasau Camp. Stories of several earthbound spirit roaming at their
place of death is quite famous among them for example the apparition of
suicide maid, a ghost of deceased gardener, and
other kind of strange sightings is still a mysteries for some retired
veterans of AP’s and workers of the SSB housing estate. But the most up
closed and personal encounter was the ghost of suicide maid located in
the area of House 75A . This haunting ground was
situated at the end of Piasau Camp which is few metres away from the
last road bump of Piasau Camp’s main road heading to Pulau Melayu.
Since the last patrol check point was located near the compound of the
house No 75A , most of the AP’s encounters several
creepy experiences whenever they came to set the last patrol clock.
Goosebumps, strange noise, ghostly woman apparitions, dark figure and
even a half torso apparition crossing the road in the middle of the
night are some examples of 75A ghost sightings. According to some
veterans who had experience the sightings during their time of service
with the SSB, the house itself have a very spooky and bloody history
which happened many years ago (some veteran maids who works in Piasau
Camp said, the case happened somewhere around 1974-5 when it was still
occupied) There’s a story of an Iban maid who committed suicide by
hanging herself with a piece of cable/rope in the lower room- which is
the maid’s bedroom. Motive of her suicide was unclear but according to
some veterans workers of Piasau Camp, her suicide was connected to the
affair she was having with her Chinese SSB employer which later ends up
in pregnancy. Since her employer refused to take the responsibility,
she takes her life by committing suicide. Since then, her earthbound
spirit haunted the house and seldom seen roaming in her room on the
lower floor holding candles on her hands and suddenly vanished without
trace. And according to some witnesses, the earthbound spirit also have
been seen moving around on the first floor(expatriate’s living floor)
or sitting next to the window looking towards the passing vehicles. And
based on last February, when ParaCrypt Team of 4 lead by Fadlee when to
the area during the night time to do some site assessment and data,
they experience hard goosebumps and encountered a pale white apparition
in formation of mist moving across the lower rooms heading to the
kitchen area starting from the main master bedroom which was suspected
to be the place where the haunting starts. Due to avoid any problems
with the authority since it was about 1145 pm and the area was
restricted for non residents they when back and when they try to
developed the photo which they took with Sony digital camera, all the
file was blank and seems like to be never been used.

Below was part of the First Stage assessment during the house visit on 16 February 2007

2030 hrs
– Me, Hafiz, Adi and new member Jack do some equipment check- charged
digital camera, flash lights with batteries, handy cam, note book, and
night jacket to avoid cold temp during night investigation. We when to
Saberkas Com Centre and take dinner- Nasi Goreng Kampung, Roast Chicken
wings and some greens. Call Ezan@BlackPenguin to inform him about our
trip. He advised just to take rapid assessment on area and come back
early to avoid probs. Later he will try to get authorization from SSB
AP OIC to have a official authorization to do paranormal study and
investigation on the site.

2136 hrs – Fill up bike tank. Me and Hafiz on the same motorbike while Adi and Jack using Jack’s scooter.

2205 hrs-
Arrived at the house. Bushes and old palm trees on the right hand side
welcomes us. Thank you (joke). Park the bike in the porch space and
start collecting data. Hear a faint scratching sound coming from the
first floor. Due to condition of the house, perhaps comes from the
small tree branches scratching the asbestos roof.

20
meters from the porch’s end was River Miri. Hafiz goes to the dark
kitchen which located next to back staircase. Slow breeze felt. Jack
and Adi check the first floor from back staircase. Received call from
Penguin for report.

Checking
the lower floor and go to the master room. Lower floor divided into
four sections. Kitchen and toilet was on the left side and two more
room on the right. Twigs and dead leafs everywhere. No exact info on
how long the house has been abandoned or unoccupied. Hafiz go to the
second room which is in the middle between the kitchen area and master
room. Master room is roughly 14×12 feet’s wide. Still need to be
confirms later. No switch or light panel. Broken and exposed. Might
be 15- 20 years emptied. First team goes to backyard with handy cam to
investigate the area after seeing some weird movement somewhere among
the bushes and the old tree. Few minutes later Adi complains bout the
thick bushes. Hafiz take few shots with our cams in the master bedroom
and stays in the room for about 20 minutes. Hafiz thinks this room
might be the place of the maid’s suicide. Heard faint soft voice coming
from the room. Cam still running and recording .Unpleasant feelings
felt by us.

2245 hrs - Go out together to
meet the other 2 guys after experiencing hard goosebumps. Jack shout ‘
Fxxk what is that!” pointing straight to us with flash light. Turn
around and saw pale grayish/white thick mist about my height (Mine is
570 cm height) moving across the rooms toward the kitchen and vanished
near the back staircase. First team dashed towards parked motorbike in
panic. Jack accidentally falls after tripped into the small ditch which
surrounding the building. No serious injury. Broken flash light. Smell
weird odors. Maybe from the pollute river. Adi wants to check the room
again and go upstairs with Hafiz while Jack sitting on the Yamaha
motorbike. Take video shots focusing on upper and surounding area with
handy cam for about 20 minutes and mostly focus in the master bedroom.
Heads cam towards the stair. Thought seen something. None. Perhaps
imagination. Goosebumps continuously felt by all team members.

2325 hrs
– Double check belongings to avoid of being left behind. Adi gave
Ezan@BlackPenguin a phone call to inform about the incidents. Ezan ask
to meet him at Perwira 24 Restaurant.

2340 hrs – Leave for Perwira 24. Adi complaints bout his goosebumps all the way. Jack still looks in panic after first assignment.

First Stage Assessment Report.

Duration

1 hour and 35 minutes

Findings

1) Roughly
15-20 years abandoned. Yet to be confirms with AP’s. Thick bushes
surrounding the compound. No trace of recent clearing by contractor.

2) Faint scratching heard from first floor upon arrival. Surrounding temperature- cold du to slow breeze.

3) Thick
bushes and some window panes missing. Doors in bad shape and upper
floor- some place is slippery and mossy due to the roof leakage over
the years. First floor have 5 section. 1 living room shares with
dinning room, 1 kitchen, 1 bath room + toilets and 1 master bed room
and 2 single bedroom. All in old condition.

4) Lower
floor divided into 4 sections. I kitchen, I bathroom + toilet, 1 single
room and 1 master bedroom. All with dead leaves and twigs also soils.
Master bedroom in poor condition same with others. No switch panel
(perhaps being stolen by vandals). Few glass pane missing from the
window frames, soils and grass everywhere.

5) Back
staircase still intact but need to be more caution on stepping it.
Paint samples taken from the wall seems to be about untouched for many
years.

6) Greyish/white
thick mist moving across the lower floor rooms towards the kitchen
finally vanished near the staircase. And weird odors came from the
river. (Note- Nearby river was about 80-90% polluted by oils and some
irresponsible peoples sometimes dumps garbage in the river and known as
one of the most polluted river

7) Cold temp felt in every room (might be cause by the room’s humidity)

Physical Evids and data collected

a) Paint samples from the wall.

b) All
soft recording (from digital camera and handy cam giving blank
recording. Tapes and memory card seems to be never been use even though
double check on the equipments, tapes and memory card have been done
before going to the location)

c) Only individual team experiences and observations recorded in papers.

March 2007 Hafiz and Jack continue their study in local college and
university while Adi still active with haunting activities with Fadlee.
Still waiting for their reports on Bintulu and Sibu Weekend Haunting
trip and mysterious ‘Batu Katak’ among local punters which located
somewhere between the old

Bintulu- Sibu Highway

)

Other
haunting which is connected to House No XX was the mysterious
apparition of bulls near the small hockey field which situated 40-50
meters from the house by local AP’s. According to the report, one night
when he was patrolling at the border of Piasau Camp, suddenly he
realized a herd of buffaloes unguarded near the area. Due to the
security reason and to avoid the herds trespassing into the area, he
went to the operation office and report back to his supervisor for
assistance which later went with him to the place where he stumbles
with the beast. After seeing the hockey field was empty and neither
buffaloes nor other animals were around, they when back to the
operation office and the AP keep on convincing his supervisor about
what he saw. And after the incidents, many mysterious encounter of the
dark herds buffaloes which vanished into thin air whenever guards try
to approaching it.

On
present day, House No XX is still empty and seems to be abundant
perhaps due to the haunting cases which once occurs there or maybe just
waiting her turns to be demolished by authorities and to be replaced
with new house building. In the other hand, ParaCrypt RSG is still
planning to conduct further research and study on the house history and
on ground investigation and for the moment still trying to get into
contact with the SSB AP OIC for permission.

ParaCrypt Research Project in Miri

January 27th, 2007 by articpenguin

Many peoples sent their mails to me and my team, asking of what kinda research that we do… Actually our team is more on the paranormal and supernatural cases, local legends and Histories, Myths and Mysticism.

We were planning to do some research on certain area in Miri which were claimed to have mysterious stories and also some paranormal phenomenon. Anyway… we’ll see bout it and will come with the evids… to show to the reader either the cases is real or just a hoax or imagination…..

Some of the research paper already being done and only waiting to be publish in the blog and web. Just stay in touch…

Places which were claimed of having supernatural cases and mysteries in Miri.

- Mysterious tomb in Kpg Makam Keramat In Tudan- which were claimed to have myterious events goin’ on and tall legends around the timeline of the mysterious tomb.

- Piasau Camp old House no 75A. The most haunted house in the area. A women commited suicide by hanging herself and her ghost still roaming around the resident.

- Lutong Airstrip - Strange cases and hauntings reported by SSB Auxiliary Police Vets during the airstrip still in ops. And stories of white lady and ww2 japs soldiers haunting certain location.

- Kuala Baram Old Ferry Point- Ghostly Fireball near an old tree and dark apparition near the area.

- Makam Permaisuri- Another legend of a beheaded Saint in Pujut Tanjung Batu area

Dragon of Tibet photo

September 27th, 2006 by articpenguin

I when to the forum room to check out the latest updates bout the image… and what I’ve been told by LinerV, it’s still unconfirm by researchers from all over the world. But what the response from public who read the news and articles bout the ‘dragon’ was, it perhaps the genuine photo and the things is real. I also have been through the photo for several times and sorry for the late response since the streamyx is pretty bad lately, but what I can say is, the way of the emage and compares it with the cloud and the mountain color contrast… perhaps… maybe… repeat..maybe it’s a real and genuine photo. But we have to consider bout one thing. If there’s a dragon.. I mean a live one during the photo was taken… why there’s no reports from the air to ground radar system, sat image or  other  useful source data bout the encounter? Correct me if my opinion was wrong… but seems the photo is too good to be true… but even I believed it genuine… Honestly I’ve still doubt it. And I wuld like to add based on my personal experience… I’ve seen glaciers formation look like a snake skin from air back in Pakistan when I’m on humanitarian Mission for the Red Cross… unfortunately I didn’t take the photo since I’m out of film that time. Honestly it’s look something like that and really amazed me… If you want to look for perhaps already confirm by scientist a real biiiiig snake photo….There’s also an image of a snake taken somewhere in Asia or America from air… I can’t recall it but it’s quite a fame few years back. If I’m not mistaken you might ind it at world mysteries.com Perhaps check it out. I think it’s there or other sites… sorry for not remembering the add :) By the way… if that’s a real dragon’s photo taken in this year February 2006…. Man…. just think how big it is….

(Perhaps it’s a species of a genie @ Jinns- as what we know that this folks can transform into many shapes) By the way…. that’s all from me… keep updating me for latest…

Tips for field photo

Photographing
the Ghost

Do and don’t

Photography is one of the most important, and certainly
the most common tools for a paranormal researcher. It provides visual
documentation of occurrences. We use 35 mm cameras - either “point and shoot”
or manuals are acceptable. Other cameras like digital cams, phone cams also
have been used with good results, but for field work, the 35 mm is standard.
The digital is becoming more and more popular for many reasons… primarily
being instant results and no money spent on development. They both have pros
and cons (the 35 mm produces a negative that can be used for comparison, there
is no data drops, etc. - the digital does not allow for manipulation of film
developing, is cheaper to use thus allowing many more photos, etc.) and
researchers have found that by using both they end up with the best coverage of
an investigation. It is not our intention of getting into whether one is better
then other, only to address simple steps that should be followed at all times.
A photo is only as good as its photographer is honest so….

When shooting photos the following conditions should be
met:

1. All straps should be removed or around neck
(wrist straps should just be removed). I is all to easy for a strap to slip
into the photo by accident and cause a false photo. This seems to be especially
common with wrist straps. Many times the photographer may not even be aware of
it, and when the photos come out the proximity of the strap to the lens and the
flash produce an image that is taken to be a "Vortex". Don’t let this
common mistake happen to you.

2. Never shoot in inclement conditions (rain, snow,
fog, high winds, dust, etc.). This should be pretty self explanatory. Moisture
makes orbs… and these are not ghosts! While rain and other such conditions
are the obvious ones, be aware of more subtle conditions that can affect
photos. Dew on the ground, ambient moisture (humidity), mist and fog. Wind
stirs up dust which can be reflected by the flash or near by lighting and show
up as orbs. Walking through a field can stir up unseen mold spores… high
pollen counts… all of these can be accidentally photographed as orbs or other
phenomenon. Stay aware and discard anything that you know resulted from these
or other similar conditions. Try shining a high power light out… if you can
see dust dancing in the beam then they can show up on your film. Orbs are
questionable enough… make sure you can positively rule out normal causes. Be
aware also of conditions that could cause fogging or condensation in your
camera (such as coming into a warm room from a cold outdoors)

3. No smoking while shooting film OR near it. This
is an easy way to end up with the ubiquitous "ecto mist". While mist
photos that are not explainable any other way are out there, it is very easy
for stray smoke from a cigarette to masquerade as a ghostly phenomenon. By the
same token… don’t allow incense, candles or anything else that could produce
smoke, even in the smallest amount. Also be aware of your breathe in cold
weather.

4. Do not take photos from moving vehicles, while
walking down dusty paths. Again, dusty paths produce false orbs. Movement,
reflection from the car can cause a variety of effects. Beside, if you’re
driving along how will you be able to log EXACTLY the area and condition when
you took the photo??

5. Make sure all lens are clean of dust,
fingerprint, etc. Again you don’t need simple mistakes such as finger print
smears or dust reflection marring your work and bringing into question your
results.

6. Long hair must be tied back. Fingers should be
kept away from lens. A single stray hair can cause a false vortex. If you have
long hair, tie it back! Fingers can inadvertently get in front of the lens and
you can mistake this for a shadow. Know where your fingers are so your
"ghost" doesn’t turn out to be a thumb waving around! Avoid dangly
things like drawstrings, long earrings, etc. that could potentially interfere.

7. Avoid shooting into the sun. Nothing useful will
come of this. The light and reflections into your lens and shutter can cause a
number of effects, none of which are paranormal. Just don’t point that way.

8. Avoid shooting with a flash at shiny or
reflective surfaces. Typically a flash range is about 10-12 feet; however we
have photos where the flash reflected on an object further away. A flash
bouncing of a distant street sign, shiny tombstone or mirror or window to the
side of you can yield great looking orbs, blobs, shadows and other goodies.
None of which are paranormal. Be very careful to check for ANY thing that could
reflect a flash. Also be aware that a stray flashlight beam can reflect oddly
and into your camera. Be aware.

9. Some people consider it helpful to load the film
after you arrive (perhaps 20 minute or so into the investigation). The belief
is that this will show your intention and possibly attract spirits. Whether
this is so or not, the practical consideration for doing this is that it allows
you to evaluate the surroundings and choose the right film, or the best camera
for that situation.

10. In
general look for film speed of 400 or 800. In dark conditions anything lower
than 400 is fairly useless, and 400 may be cutting it a little close. 800 is
better. Anything higher is certainly better, however it does tend to produce
grainy photos so be aware of that when evaluating your pictures.

11. Save
those negatives! Store them safely and make sure they are cross references with
the photos. These are invaluable when evaluating a potentially positive photo.

12. Don’t
be shy about removing from consideration an anomalous photo if there is any
doubt about the conditions you took it in. Better safe then sorry. We attempt
to recreate positive photos to be as sure as possible they were not
"oops" shots before giving them the green light. No one’s perfect or
knows everything, but by removing truly questionable shots it gives you a much
firmer foundation to work with.

13. If
you are using a digital camera, shoot at the highest resolution possible. We
have seen some interesting "ghosts" that were actually poor image
quality.

14. KNOW
YOUR CAMERA. Take lots of photos before you head out looking for a ghost.
Deliberately shoot incorrectly and examine those photos carefully so you know
what they look like. Be very aware of things like shutter reflection (which can
appear as orbs or odd shapes). Know that camera and its idiosyncrasies.
Practice, practice, practice.

15. If
you are using Infrared photography: Infrared is providing some very interesting
results in this field, however it does tend to be expensive. It requires
practice and experience to properly use Infrared film. Infrared is sensitized
to our level of light, as well as to different wavelengths of radiation. Some
basic pointers are:

· Use Black and white Infrared film only - color
IR film makes for some interesting colors and can make photos useless for
paranormal work. Recommended is HIE 135 B/W film. Direct from Kodak it is
approximately $12/roll… locally it can be as much as $30/roll. Plus
Developing!

· IR film is EXTREMELY sensitive to heat. It MUST
be kept cool. If shipped it arrives packed in dry ice, if purchased locally be
SURE if it has been properly stored. Try storing it in the refrigerator until 1
hour before use.

· Film must be loaded and unloaded in total
darkness. Any light leak can compromise the film.

· The use of filters is a judgment call. Some feel
this provides a better shot, others feel it potentially cuts out possible
wavelengths a anomaly might be found at. A deep red filter will block visible
light.

· Be careful using point-n-shoot cameras. Many
have internal sensors that can damage IR film.

Updates on the Brockett’s Bridge Conspiracy in US

September 19th, 2006 by articpenguin

THE MYSTERY OF BROCKETT’S BRIDGE DEEPENS

One of the strangest cases in Nineteenth Century ufology came to
light in 1997, when UFO ROUNDUP began its investigation into the
“strange dream of H.P. Lovecraft.”

In 1920, then-amateur journalist and later celebrated horror writer
Howard Phillips Lovecraft (1890-1936) had a strange dream. He dreamed
that he was in upstate New York, in a small town he had never seen
before, and that he was “Lt. Eben Spencer,” a recently-discharged Union
Army surgeon. During the course of his visit home, Lt. Spencer called
on another physician, “Dr. Chester,” and was shown physical evidence of
what may have been an alien being.

Lovecraft awoke just as he was on the verge of “a great revelation” and thought the dream had ended “in absurd anticlimax.”

But UFO ROUNDUP editor Joseph Trainor thought the “dream” may have
been some kind of ancestral or reincarnation memory and that there were
enough concrete details that could be checked against available records
from the era of the American Civil War (1861-1865).

During a research trip to New York state, Trainor found documentary
evidence that Lovecraft’s dream was indeed “rooted in reality.”

There really was a Lt. Spencer from upstate New York. He was born
and grew up in the small town of Brockett’s Bridge, now Dolgeville,
just east of Herkimer, in March 1839 and enlisted in the U.S. Army on
September 16, 1861 at the age of 22. His full birth name was Elbridge
Gerry Spencer, but he preferred the nickname “Gary.”

Lovecraft’s “Dr. Chester” had his counterpart in real-life
Brockett’s Bridge, as well. According to the town’s 1855 census, he was
Dr. Herbert Chester Smallwood, a herbalist who owned some rural
property in nearby West Salisbury. Smallwood had a baby brother,
Douglas, who fits the description of the unnamed younger brother in
Lovecraft’s account of the dream.

With some help from the people at
the Dolgeville, N.Y. Town Hall, Trainor was able to visit the
three-story house on the east side of Fourth Street, where Lovecraft’s
alleged alien encounter may have taken place.

“One problem is that there is literally no mention of Gary
Spencer, Dr. Smallwood and Douglas in the 1871 town directory for
Little Falls, N.Y., which includes a small section on Dolgeville,”
Trainor explained, “Brockett’s Bridge was renamed in 1867 after a New
York City piano manufacturer named Alfred Dolge came to town and
offered to build a factory there. He had only one condition—the town
had to be renamed ‘Dolgeville’ in his honor. A strange request, to be
sure, but one which the Town Council honored. The very name of
Brockett’s Bridge, N.Y. passed from history.”

Now, thanks to research by New York state historian Carol Maltby,
it has become possible to trace the mysterious doings of Gary Spencer
after the American Civil War.

Maltby pointed out an error in New York state’s card-file index of
Civil War veterans. The card, still on file at the state archives in
Albany, lists Gary Spencer as a surgeon in the 94th Infantry Regiment.
However, Maltby’s Google search cited the 1879 book “History of
Herkimer County, New York,” which lists Spencer as a soldier in the
97th Infantry Regiment. Searches by Trainor and Roundup correspondent
Mary Lou Jones-Drown confirmed this fact and also learned that, on
March 10, 1862, Spencer was on the roster of Commission Company F, 97th
Infantry Regiment. (See Civil War National Archives Film M551, Roll
133—J.T.)

According to the Army’s records, Gary Spencer received a disability
discharge from Company F on November 23, 1862. He was then promoted to
captain on December 3, 1862 but was not mustered out of the service.
Rather, he remained on detached duty in Washington, D.C. throughout
1863. This coincided with the information in Lovecraft’s dream that
“Lt. Spencer” had returned home after receiving a small wound on active
duty.

Lovecraft wrote that in his “Lt. Spencer” dream persona, he found
himself in “the house I had lived in since birth” on a sunny morning in
July 1864. After selecting a cane from the stand, he left the house and
went for a stroll through the town we now know to be Brockett’s Bridge.
He was accosted on the street by an anxious teenager—Douglas
Smallwood—who said he was worried about his elder brother. Gary
consented to visit the home of “Dr. Chester” and talk with his one-time
mentor. He decribed the older man as acting very secretive and odd, in
a manner that was almost repellent. The recluse, believed to be Dr.
Herbert Chester Smallwood, finally consented to let the two men into
his upstairs laboratory.

There Dr. Smallwood showed Gary an unusual item—a humanoid arm that
had been amputated above the elbow. The arm was a bizarre blue-green
color, and the fingers lacked fingernails. Dr. Smallwood then brought
out a slightly larger blue-green arm, remarking, “I imagine you’ve had
quite a lot of amputation practice in the army, Spencer. What do you
think, professionally, of this job?”

Gary said these limbs had no existence in nature. Uttering a
saturnine laugh, the older man replied, “Not yet, Spencer, not yet.”
Then he prepared to show Gary and Douglas even stranger wonders. It was
at this juncture that Lovecraft awoke.

No one knows what happened next. Trainor conjectured that a saucer
crashed on the banks of West Canada Creek during the UFO flap of 1862
and that Dr. Smallwood, while out hunting for herbs, may have
encountered live humanoid aliens who had been injured in the crash. Dr.
Smallwood could have hidden one or two of the aliens in his house on
Fourth Street.

“At first I thought that Gary and the Smallwoods had been murdered
by Lafayette C. Baker, the head of President Abraham Lincoln’s National
Detective Police, a forerunner of today’s FBI,” Trainor said, “But I’m
happy to report that Gary apparently lived beyond his strange
adventure. However, he did leave town in 1867 under somewhat mysterious
circumstances.”

“There is a single clue that young Douglas also left Brockett’s
Bridge at the same time and moved to the same area of the USA as Gary.
But the fate of Dr. Herbert C. Smallwood, the reputed discoverer of the
UFO and the aliens, is still unknown.”

On July 20, 1870, the U.S. Census was taken in Vernon Springs, a
small town in northern Iowa. Census records for Dubuque County show an
E. Gary Spencer living in Vernon Springs, giving his occupation as
“farmer/laborer.” The record shows that Gary was 31, having been born
in 1839, and was married to a woman named Sarah, also a native of
upstate New York. They had two children—a daughter, Jennie, born in
1867, and a son, Mark L. Spencer, born in 1869. In later life, Mark
became an Iowa dentist.

That Gary left Brockett’s Bridge under hasty and shadowy
circumstances can be confirmed by reading the 1889 obituary of his
sister in the Herkimer, N.Y.

Democrat. The final paragraph of the obit states that she had one
brother, Gary, who “disappeared from the area twenty years ago,” i.e.
around 1869.

When next we encounter Gary Spencer and his family, it is ten years
later, 1880, and they are now living in Peosta, another small town in
Dubuque County. There are two more children in the family—a son, R.
Robb, born in 1872, and a daughter, Agnes, born in 1876. Sarah is still
a housewife, but Gary now lists his occupation as “commercial
traveler.” That’s a fancy name for salesman or “drummer,” as they were
known in the USA of the Gilded Age.

Curiously, this was the same occupation as H.P. Lovecraft’s
father—Winfield Scott Lovecraft, who was a traveling salesman for the
Gorham Silver Manufacturing Co. of Providence, R.I. during this period.

Did the elder Lovecraft hear the story of the hidden aliens from
Gary Spencer’s own lips, as they were riding the Lakeshore Limited to
Chicago? Did he ever mention this “yarn” to his son Howard?

The same 1880 Census lists a “Douglas Smallwood” living elsewhere
in Dubuque County, Iowa. His age is listed as 2, meaning he was born in
1878. Could he have been the son of “our” Douglas Smallwood, whose
worries about his older brother/surrogate father triggered the “Roswell
in upstate New York” affair?

“I can’t help wondering if Dr. H.C. Smallwood left Earth in 1864 in
the company of the aliens he’d cared for,” Trainor added. “There is no
mention of him in any record available to Google after that year.”

There is also no further mention of Gary Spencer or Douglas
Smallwood after 1880. They are not in the Census records for 1900, 1910
or 1920. Unfortunately, the Census records for Iowa for the year 1890
no longer exist. They were destroyed in a fire in Washington D.C. over
a century ago.

“Gary changed his name at least twice during his lifetime,” Trainor
said, “He was born ‘Eldridge Gerry Spencer,’ having been named by his
schoolteacher father for the former USA vice president. The Brockett’s
Bridge town census of 1855 lists him as E. Gary Spencer, age 16, and
that’s the signature he used on his Army enlistment papers. He seems to
have picked up the nickname ‘Eben’ during his adolescence. That’s no
surprise, considering that ‘Ebeneezer’ is a common name among the
Spencer families of the Mohawk River valley. For example, the Steuben
County, N.Y. Census of 1840 lists a 10-year-old Ebeneezer Spencer
living in Jasper, N.Y. Remember, Gary was born only a year earlier, in
1839. Perhaps the Spencer family referred to the Jasper, N.Y. cousin as
‘Old Eben’ and Gary as ‘Young Eben.”

“I find it interesting that Gary changed his name again between
1870 and 1880 after leaving Vernon Springs. ‘E. Gary Spencer, farmer’
became ‘G.E. Spencer, commercial traveler.’ Was he changing his name to
suit himself? Or was he hiding from someone—or something? It’s almost
as if he’d been relocated to northeastern Iowa by some early-day
Witness Protection Program.”

Just what role—if any—did the United States government play in the strange affair of Brockett’s Bridge?

     What happened to Dr. Smallwood?

Is the wreckage of the original saucer still buried somewhere in
the woods along West Canada Creek, in either Dolgeville, Salisbury or
West Salisbury?

“It’s a shame the Iowa records for 1890 are no longer available,”
Trainor remarked, “It would be interesting to learn if Gary Spencer
died during the 1880s, taking his secret to the grave. H.P. Lovecraft,
of course, was born in Auburndale, Massachusetts on August 22, 1890. If
Gary died before H.P. Lovecraft was born, there is a possibility that
Lovecraft was indeed the reincarnation of Lt. Spencer, and that his
1920 dream was nothing more than the pre-natal memories of an actual
event that took place in upstate New York half a century earlier.”

The mystery continues…and so was the conspiracy I think heheheh

Radiocarbon dating updates.

September 19th, 2006 by articpenguin

Researchers working on the Gibraltar promontory have amassed a suite of about 30 AMS radiocarbon dates from stacked Neanderthal occupations at Gorham’s Cave that suggest Neanderthals were still living on Gibraltar at about 25,000 years ago, fully 5,000 years after they have been thought to be gone from the world. The archaeological site of Gorham’s Cave is located on the British territory of Gibraltar, that rocky narrow strip of land that extends off Spain and points towards Morocco. Gibraltar overlooks the Strait of Gibraltar, a 14-kilometer wide stretch of open water connecting the Mediterranean Sea with the Atlantic Ocean, and separating Europe from northern Africa. Gorham’s Cave was discovered in 1907 and first excavated in the 1950s by John Waechter of the Institute of Archaeology in London. In addition to Phoenician, Carthegenian and Neolithic occupations in the cave, there are 16 meters of Pleistocene deposits. The top part of the Pleistocene consists of two Upper Paleolithic deposits, identified as Solutrean and Magdelenian and used by what archaeologists now call Anatomically Modern Humans (AMH). Below that, and reported to be separated by five thousand years is a level of pure Mousterian, and, according to the latest AMS radiocarbon dates, was occupied beween 23,000 and 33,000 years ago.

Clive Finlayson of the Gibraltar Museum and colleagues report on their
findings in a future issue of Nature Mags. So check it out!

what do you think of WORMHOLE THEORY?

September 16th, 2006 by articpenguin

A number of theories have been introduced over the last hundred years that have shown that time travel could be possible in certain circumstances. This all began with Albert Einstein Special and General Theories of Relativity, which for the first time introduced the concept that time and space are not absolute, and that absolute motion can never be detected.Time slows down, distances contract, and mass increases according to equations introduced by Hendrik Antoon Lorentz in 1904, known as the Lorentz Transformations.

The Lorentz theory, transformation either multiplies or divides time, length, and mass by the square root of 1 minus the object’s velocity squared divided by the speed of light squared. Because of this, the speed of light can never be reached, or surpassed, as mass becomes infinite, requiring an equally infinite amount of energy to propel it. However, any velocity less than the actual speed of light can theoretically be reached. To help describe what happens objectively at these speeds, consider this thought experiment (keeping in mind this would take place in the far off future and all technologies exist): A pair of twins have been living happily on Earth for the past 20 years. One of the twins is offered a very lucrative job on a distant planet that is 15 light years away from Earth. He gets in his brand new spaceship that is capable of traveling at 99.999% the speed of light and goes to this planet. According to the twin in the spaceship, because of Lorentz’s contraction of length or dilation of time, he traveled 0.06708 light years in about 24 days. However, his twin brother on Earth, who is not moving at relativistic speeds, thinks that his brother took 15 years to arrive at the planet. The twin keeps his job on the star for 10 years, then returns to Earth in the same spacecraft, which he perceives to take 24 days. While the brother spent 10 years on this distant planet, not moving at relativistic speeds, both he and his twin on Earth aged the same. Upon his return, however, he has aged a total of 10 years + 24 days + 24 days = 10 years and 48 days. His brother, who remained on Earth the entire time has aged 10 years + 15 years + 15 years = 40 years. The brother who stayed on Earth is now 60 years old, while the brother who went to the star is now 30 years old. In a sense, this can be considered forward time travel, as a person would be able to live in a time that they would never have been able to see. Using the same vehicle as in the above problem, if a person were to travel at max speed for about 5 ½ months, they would travel 100 years into the future. So what do you think?

What
is Apparition?
An
apparition is defined as the supernatural manifestation of the soul
of a decease person or animal, typically referred to as what people say…a ghost.
Apparitions are visual experiences. Despite research efforts there is still very little
known about apparitions. They are the most compelling part of the
supernatural field. The one thing that is known about apparitions is
that no two are exactly alike. They are as complex and diverse as
each living person. Every apparition will have it’s own cause, origin
and meaning. Usually people encounter apparition

–> which haunts older homes and appear in solid forms acting natural.
They are always dressed in period clothing and do not speak somethimes people claimed that they even have a blank formed face,
communicate or acknowledge the presence of the living.
It’s up to the person or the team involved to analyze the facts of each
case and develop solid conclusions. But remember…. sometimes we are
confused by mind or nature when we’re on field. So be aware of the
area, dust, wind, smoke, mist or even equipment. It can make us confuse
of what we see…. Tips and Basic from me…. so have a nice haunting trip or visit. this is one photo for example of real apparition at Queen Mary Ship taken with online web cam
